  9.  Wow!   We  sure  have  some  real  narrow minded people out there!  Has
  10. anyone  watched  Executions?   (cert  18,  55mins,  distributed  by  NTV
  11. Entertainment  Limited)  I  have  an original copy sitting on my lap now
  12. (yes, I bought it!) and here is an extract from the back:

  14.  "The  images  of death, drawn from around the world, are as shocking as
  15. they  are  tragic.   But only by witnessing them and understanding their
  16. background  can you hope to decide for yourself when, if ever, execution
  17. is the punishment that fits the crime."

  19.  It  says on the front cover, "This film should shock, because the truth
  20. hurts." There is a large warning at the bottom of the front which reads,
  21. "WARNING  This  video  contains  real footage of executions that you may
  22. find shocking and disturbing."

  24.  I've  had it for about four months, maybe longer, and I've only watched
  25. it  twice.  This sort of material doesn't shock me in the slightest.  It
  26. goes  into  different  methods of execution, including beheading, firing
  27. squad, stoning and goes in-depth about the Nazis during WWII and more.

  33.                          The  makers  of  the  video claim that no crime
  34.                         warrants  execution.   They  must be talking out
  35.                         their  arse.   Capital punishment is required in
  36.                         todays  way  of  living.  Let's face it, our law
  37.                         system is a joke.  Someone I knew well killed my
  38.                         best  friend  in  1992 through wreckless driving
  39.                         near  Tiverton.   The  victim was only 15 at the
  40.                         time  and  all  the  driver got was a three year
  41.                         driving  ban and six months inside.  But because
  42.                         he  was  17  when he committed the crime and had
  43.                         his  18th  birthday  a  couple  days  after  the
  44.                         accident,  he still went to a youth centre!  How
  45. much of the sentence did he serve?  Only about 2.5 to 3 months.

  47.  Sure,  minor  things like vandalism and theft doesn't warrant the death
  48. penalty,  but  murderers,  child killers/molesters, rapists and the like
  49. certainly do!  I agree in capital punishment but being executed just for
  50. being  of  the  wrong  religion  or  whatever  IS wrong.  Unfortunately,
  51. there's not much, if anything at all, we can do about it!

  53. I'm  not  saying  any more on this subject as I could go on for ages and
  54. fill quite a few screens.

  56. [I  watched  EXECUTIONS and thought it was sick.  Thats my own opinion I
  57. guess  as  you  pointed  out,  some  people have a higher tolerance than
